IMPORTANT: RECERTIFICATION DEADLINE UPDATE

2/21/2022

Dear transplantation practitioner,

ABTC understands that the increased burden on medical professionals in the recent COVID environment has made it difficult for many to meet the requirements for recertification. It may have been challenging to locate and earn the required continuing education credits. As a result, ABTC has determined to extend the December 31, 2021 recertification window to April 1, 2022. This will be the latest date to recertify for those who were not able to earn the CEPTCs and submit prior to the 12/31/2021 expiration date.

The extended deadline will be a one-time opportunity to recertify. Your next recertification date will not be advanced. You will be required to submit recertification by 12/31/2024. To assist in earning CEUs, we encourage you to have your employer offer CEPTCs and apply for ABTC Approved Provider status.  ABTC hopes that you can plan to take advantage of the resources that have been made available online to earn your CEPTCs.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need assistance,

Sincerely,

American Board for Transplant Certification
