The CTFC exam window will open in September 2026, with exam administration taking place from November 2-26, 2026. 


This adjustment is part of a broader effort to strengthen the exam’s statistical reliability by allowing a larger pool of candidates to test. With more data, ABTC can improve question accuracy and fairness, and potentially release test scores more quickly due to clearer psychometric trends. We recognize that timing adjustments can impact planning, and we appreciate your flexibility as we finalize updated scheduling details. As part of this transition, ABTC will be offering the upcoming CTFC exam at a special one-time reduced cost of $99. 

 

This decision reflects our commitment to supporting candidates while ensuring a reliable, well-supported, and high-quality certification experience.

  • Your eligibility will be maintained
  • Additional guidance will be shared in a follow-up communication
