What is CertPath?
CertPath is a certification assistance program that enables employers, to support their transplant and organ procurement professionals in achieving their initial ABTC certification in a cost-effective way.  The CertPath program is open to transplant centers, organ procurement organizations, and all other organizations that employ transplant professionals who are exam-eligible.

The Process is Simple
To begin, simply complete the CertPath Registration Form linked below.  

  • New!  Organizations will purchase discount codes through the ROC-P portal after your application is received.
  • Once your application is approved organizations will then have access to purchase codes.
  • CertPath is available for new applicants only.
  • Payment must be made prior receiving codes.  The codes are valid for one year from the date of purchase.  There is no limit to the amount of codes an organization can purchase.
  • Payment is made by credit card or check.  Credit purchase provide immediate access to the codes you purchase while payments by check will need to wait to access the codes until payment is made.
  • If the exam taker does not pass the exam on the first attempt, they are granted a one-time, no-cost retake using the same code they received.   
  • Individuals retaking the examination cannot apply for a second attempt before 90 days following their last exam attempt before scheduling a test date.
  • Any unused codes are nonrefundable.
  • If you signed up for CertPath in the previous format you will need to complete a new application for a new account in ROC-P.

Please note:

  • CertPath is not available for recertification exams.  To obtain recertification, a candidate must apply for subsequent exams through the standard process and submit payment for the non-refundable application and examination fee at the time of application.

Which ABTC certification exams are included in the CertPath program?

To support transplant professionals, the following ABTC exams are included in the program.

Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC®) Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC®) Certified Clinical Transplant Nurse (CCTN®) Certified Transplant Preservationist (CTP®) Certified Transplant Financial Coordinator (CTFC) 

How does an organization enroll in the CertPath program?


Complete the form above to register and return to info@abtc.net. Please allow 3 to 5 business days for processing.


How will the applicants’ purchase codes from ABTC?

Codes can be purchased through ROC-P in the program portal by organizations whom are signed up for the CertPath program.

A CertPath candidate was unsuccessful on their first attempt, how do they apply for a retake?

They are granted a one-time, no-cost retake using the same code they originally registered with.   Individuals retaking the examination cannot apply for a second attempt before 90 days following their last exam attempt before scheduling a test date.

When will the organization be invoiced?

Organizations will now pay prior to receiving codes by credit card or check.  If a check payment needs to be made an invoice can be generated in ROC-P.


Does the CertPath program cover recertification exams, too?


No.  The CertPath program is for those seeking their initial certification.
