Clinical Transplant Nurse (CCTN®) Examination Committee

The Certified Clinical Transplant Nurse (CCTN®) Exam Committee is dedicated to maintaining the quality and precision of the CCTN® certification exam, which assesses the advanced knowledge and competencies of transplant nursing professionals. The committee will be responsible for conducting an annual review of the draft exam to ensure its content aligns with current practices in clinical transplant nursing. At the annual examination committee meetings, members will meticulously evaluate each test item in the pool, approving only those that meet high standards for inclusion. The American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC) supports these meetings by covering airfare, hotel accommodations, and meal expenses. Additionally, committee members will participate in key verification and preliminary scoring decisions, helping to ensure the exam remains fair, reliable, and valid for all candidates.
