The Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC®) and Transplant Preservationist (CTP®) or Procurement Committee and the Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC®) or Clinical Coordinator Examination Committees are dedicated to upholding the integrity and rigor of certification exams for transplant professionals. Both committees conduct an annual review of the draft exam, meticulously evaluating test items in the pool to ensure that each question is relevant, accurate, and reflective of best practices in transplant care. Committee members approve each item selected for inclusion in their respective exams during annual meetings facilitated by the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC). These meetings, essential for thorough item review and approval, are fully supported by ABTC, which covers airfare, hotel accommodations, and meals. The committees are also actively involved in key verification processes and preliminary scoring decisions, ensuring that the exams maintain high standards of quality, fairness, and validity for all candidates.
